Here is what the attendees shared….
Allison Rose said … I truly enjoyed the Catawba Studios presentation. The film crew community in this area is so happy about what’s to come. I am glad I was there for the presentation and ran into some people I knew. Pleasant evening. Thank you for hosting
Amy Hillard said … I loved seeing community come together. Everyone was engaged. Great event even in the heat. Also, thanks for checking on your volunteers! 😉
Jim Stablein said … I liked the Catawba Studios presentation and the Walking Tour, specifically the historical information at the Fort Mill History Museum. And, of course, meeting new people!

Bill Barnes said … Charlotte and I attended last night, primarily to hear an update on the Catawba Studios given by Bert Hesse & Chris Cates. Before the presentation got underway, we had an opportunity be meet some of the nice folks that are involved in Loom Coworking, including their director Jennifer Belk. This is a program with a lot of potential for entrepreneurs. Next, we toured the old Center Theater and listened to plans for its renovation by Chip Smith and others. We swore we could hear it crying out to be a performance center for music, drama, dance, etc. We wish them great success. Next, we went on a walking tour of Ft. Mill led by LeAnne Burnett Morse. We were given walking tour maps at our Millstone Park starting point and then commenced to learn about what some of the buildings downtown were originally, about the railroad and the old Walking Bridge, the old Pure Gas Station and other historic structures before concluding our walk at the Ft. Mill History Museum on Clebourne St. It looks to us like Ft. Mill has a bright future in store and a new movie studio might just be its crowning glory. Only time will tell.

Shelton Brown said … The event was awesome…LOOM Coworking are doing great things in the Fort Mill/Rock Hill community. Thanks for your warm welcome, Mrs. Belk.
Jeannie Sanders said … Attended last night mainly for the Catawba Studios, but loved the tour of the town. I just moved back to Fort Mill at the begin of July. Love the historical elements of it and that new thinga are just around the corner. Hope to include information here about the Catawba Pow Wow in November. Thanks for all the information.
