MEMBER SPOTLIGHT DIANA CURTI MAFFEI
We are incredibly proud of all of our LOOM Coworking members and love seeing their growth, personally and professionally. Learn more about Diana Curti Maffei
Who is Diana Curti Maffei? I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and moved to Waco, Texas for college at Baylor University in 2012. I spent almost eight years in Waco between school and starting my first job (also at Baylor). I also met my husband, Bobby, in Waco when he started working for Baylor in 2017. We’ve moved a lot since then (three times since 2019!) for his job as a football coach. We’ve been in South Carolina since April 2022 and absolutely love exploring everything this area has to offer.
What is your company and who are your customers? I work for Wakefield (formerly Wakefield Research Partners), a small research firm based out of Texas. Our goal is to help brands and sports teams measure the impact of their advertising/sponsorships through fan surveys. We have about 50 members which include NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and MLB teams, as well as a handful of brands that have a large marketing presence in those leagues. We’re a small staff – five full time employees – but we continue to grow every year through referrals from current and former members.
What do you do on a daily basis and why? My role is Senior Director of Research Services. I handle all member-facing aspects of our business including contracts and onboarding, facilitating data collection throughout the year, and results review at the end of the survey period. I also support the marketing and sales aspects of the organization. Which really means my day-to-day is rarely the same, but that makes things fun and dynamic for me.
Other than your work, what are you most passionate about? We have two dogs that I love taking on adventures like long hikes and road trips. I love to visit new places, try new food, and visit friends/family that live all across the country. And of course, football is a big part of my weekends!
Why did you initially come to LOOM? After working from home exclusively for about two years, I wanted to have a different work environment available to help get me out in the community. I love how close LOOM is to the downtown area and it’s also a huge plus that it’s five minutes from home.
