Who is Jessica Milicevic? I was raised in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where I grew up chasing wild ponies and sea gulls, attending births with my mother who was a midwife, and kayaking in the still waters of the Intracoastal Waterway  at my family-owned kayak shop. I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2009 and began working for The Charlotte Observer, and within five years had moved to broadcast reporting with WJZY Fox 46. I am currently the Founder and CEO of JHM Creative Co., a boutique social media marketing agency, and live in Fort Mill with my husband  of 16 years and our four kiddos. When I’m not wrangling children or working with clients, I serve on the board of the Carolinas LGBT Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Communications and write for Business Insider.

What is your company and who are your customers?  Partner; Expert; Cohort. We go by many names, but it all comes back to one simple idea: we believe in not just building businesses, but building relationships. We don’t speak corporate jargon and we don’t use a persona to get you to like us. What you see is what you get, 100% of the time. We are a group of creatives and strategists; of writers and dreamers; of technically savvy and personable folks who genuinely love what they do. We work with small and medium sized businesses who are looking to outsource their social media management to a team they can trust. 

What do you do on a daily basis and why? Every day is different, which is exactly how I like it. It all depends on the needs and priorities of the day. Sometimes I’m with my kiddos, playing and learning and traveling; other days, I’m meeting with my team, filming Reels and TikToks for clients or attending an event in Charlotte with the LGBT Chamber.

Other than your work, what are you most passionate about? Maternal Mental Health, advocating for social causes I believe in and politics. 

Why did you initially come to LOOM? I was looking for a space where I could focus solely on the tasks at hand without the distractions of home and kiddos.
