Who is Maggie Cole? I am from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I moved to San Diego when I was a teenager for some high school, and college where  I studied economics and business management at the University of San Diego. I then got a job in franchising that moved me to Columbia, SC. I met the owner of Reliance through that job and the rest is history.

What is your company and who are your customers?  (Reliance Contracting) We are a mostly commercial (some residential) general contracting business. We do a lot of tenant up fits and restaurants. We enjoy it due to the “never a dull moment” nature of it. Our customers are anyone who is building a business and wants a flexible, friendly and hustler of a GC.

What are your personal and/or professional goals? My professional goals are to grow this company with Mark (Donahue). We are trying to take on new projects everyday as well as build a solid team so we can handle the growth. 

Other than your work, what are you most passionate about? I was passionate about marathons for a while when I lived in Boston. I did 3 in 12 months which is excessive. Needless to say I am taking a break from that and spend a lot of time on the lakes in SC and I go out to the ocean whenever I can.

What initially brought you to LOOM and how have you benefited from coworking? LOOM sits right in the middle of South Carolina and North Carolina so it is very central to the areas we build in (Columbia, Myrtle Beach, Greenville, Charleston, Charlotte, Wilmington, Hickory). We have changing needs everyday and LOOM is flexible and welcoming to our visitors and guests. There’s always a friendly face here which we love.
